Well, in my opinion this is one of most difficult exercises to progress in weight. When you do deadlift for example, you can drop a rod. The same about bench press, if you haven't clamps you can drop it any side. If you not sure you can do it, better don't. It can be deadly dangerous (Sorry for my English)
